van Vliet - van Campen

There's no doubt about the fact that the Van Vliet family and the family of the architect Jacob van Campen were related. Without mentioning the exact relationship, the 'Jaarboek CBG1997'(CBG) reveales it in a number of paragraphes and schemes.

They mention that Errickgen Apers Van Campen was related to Jacob van Campen. (She was also related to the Frisian part of the Hasius family).
Errickgen Apers van Campen and Suzanna Dircks van Campen were cousins (CBG213), so that Aper van Campen and Dirk van Campen (Suzanne Dircx van Campen's father) were brothers. If Errickgen is related to Jacob van Campen, Aper et Dirk van Campen must also be related. In the family tree, Jacob is presented as Dirk's brother. It is possible that they weren't brothers but cousins, for instance.
Apart from this relation, there exists yet another alliance with Jacob van Campen: Balten Jans van Vliet, Errickgen's husband is related (with a rather complex relation) to the engraver Gilles van Vliet (den Ouden) (CBG212).
