Abraham Delfos
Leiden 1731 - Leiden 1820
He was one of the pupils of Jan Wandelaar.
In 1761 he became the director of the Art Academy of Leiden.
Professor of P.L. Delfos, P. de Mare and P.Velijn.
His works are at:
Rijksprentenkabinet in Amsterdam,
Rijksmuseum in Enschede,
Teylers Stichting in Haarlem,
Rijksprentenkabinet et the Stedenlijke Prentenverzameling in Leiden,
Museum Boymans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
Draughtsman (among others: anatomical studies for professeur Sandifort), eaux-fortes, engravings (landscapes, portraits, book sheets, etc).
he also copied old masters like: Teniers, van Berchem et Brouwer.
