Jan David Huyer (also Huyier, Huibers), son of Joachiem Huyier, was a painter and draughtsman of maritime works in Amsterdam.
Jan David marries in Amsterdam in 1812 and is mentioned in 1814 as an painter and in 1814 as a painter-patron.
In 1818 he is a grocer, but participates at expositions from 1813 to 1838. (for instance with a 'Tempest at sea").(19ES)
A relation with Femmetje Huyers, spouse of Herman Beekman has not been proven.
